My Story

I’m Lourdine Jean-François, LCPC, lovingly known as Coach Lou (Lou is my family nickname).

As a first-generation Haitian-American, eldest daughter, and licensed holistic therapist, I know what it’s like to carry everything and still feel like it’s not enough.

I was the strong one. The helper. The one who made it out.
The first woman in my family to graduate college and earn a master’s.
I supported my family, built a business, checked all the boxes—
and yet, deep down, I felt overwhelmed, lonely, and disconnected from myself.

My body ached. My joy faded. My relationships began to mirror my exhaustion.

I thought if I just worked harder or showed up better, I’d finally feel worthy.
But perfection doesn’t create peace—it creates pressure.

Everything changed when I started honoring my emotions and offering myself the same care I so freely gave to everyone else.

Through ancestral and spiritual practices—breathwork, sound healing, movement, and meditation—I began returning home to myself. And when I did, everything shifted.

I felt energized, held, and loved—not because everything around me was perfect, but because I was finally grounded in my worth.

I experienced deeper intimacy in my relationships, more peace in my body, and a sacred reverence for my lineage and divine mission.

That’s how the POWA Circle was born.
